Well done to Lewis Ironside winning this WKN title bout to become WKN Scottish champion in the super featherweight division … Lewis won on points after going the distance versus a very tough opponent in Shane Weir. Lewis now holds three Scottish titles at the age of 20 !!!

A huge congratulations to Lewis Ironside who took to the ring on Saturday 1st October @ Dundee fight night 6, winning the W.U.M.A K1 belt at 63kg.To say that everyone at AKKG is proud is a massive understatement!! It’s been a big year for Lewis , two titles & now running two kids classes. 2023 will be an exciting time for sure.

AKKG hosted its first in house competition of the year on 6th August at the Kingswells Community Centre. This event gave all students from every AKKG club across Aberdeen and the Shire an opportunity to demonstrate their ability by taking part in a serious of continual sparring bouts across several age groups and weight categories.
After a fun and action packed day, the following AKKG students were presented with medals after winning places under their respective categories:
Winners – Adem Alazabbi, Azem Alazabbi, Annabelle Allan, Watson Clark, Daniel Coll, Cameron Fraser, Taylor Gibson and Keira Mason.
Runners Up – Eloy Amaro, Logan Bruce, Lily Lynch, Elin McDowell, Riley Smith, Ethan Townend and AKKG’s very own coach, Lee Walker.
Win or lose, everyone at AKKG is super proud of everyone who took part. The comp was a great event and was a real showcase of AKKG emerging and developing talent.

On July 2nd, AKKG was invited to take part in a Scotland versus Ireland bout to be held at Fraserburgh Leisure Centre. AKKG took up the challenge and selected three of our fight team to represent with each fighter having their hand raised. Yet again, everyone at AKKG is super proud of our fight team’s achievements. With each opportunity to showcase our fighters’ abilities, AKKG are being noticed mire and more and are excited to see what is in store for our fighters in future circuit events.
