AKKG coach Lewis Ironside took home the WKC Scottish Title in the under 65Kg weight class category after a fantastic performance in Glasgow. Lewis won by unanimous decision after a display of talent and sheer determination throughout all rounds. This award is the first title win for us at AKKG. Lewis continues to exemplify the correct attitude it takes to be a successful fighter and everyone at AKKG couldn’t be more proud of what he has achieved.

Well done Lewis, you smashed it!!!

Many congratulations to our three WKA Scottish Open Winners; George Beattie, Watson Clark and James Gill. A real testament to all three lads’ hard work and determination during their training for this exciting event. Everyone at AKKG is really proud of your achievements!

It’s been a while due to the pandemic but finally we’re back running our in-house comps!! 42 AKKG fighters (the most we’ve ever had) signed up to compete @ The Axis Centre , Newmachar on Saturday 11th December , we weren’t disappointed with what we saw , the standard has improved so much , 10 different sections , many congratulations to everyone who came away with medals , massive thankyou to everyone who helped the event run smoothly it’s very much appreciated. We , the coaches use these events to try and scout any up and coming talent to come join our forever growing teams for external comps. This makes us very excited for 2022 to begin , well done everyone

Congratulations to Lily Brown on becoming IBKO English open champ 2021 @ The Adrenaline Centre , Haslingden , England. We took a team of 7 to this event and came home with 1 gold and 6 silver medals so a big well done to everyone in our team !! we are already looking forward to our next adventure at the WKA Scottish Championships in November

Our team of seven travelled to Dundee for the W.U.M.A Scottish Open.

Congratulations to Lewis Cameron (17), Cameron Fraser (14) and Kyle Mcloughlin (11) who all brought home a gold medal in their age/weight categories – Great job!!

James Gill (10), Arden Grant (10) and Ollie McPherson (13) all scooped a silver medal in their age/weight categories and Adam Milne achieved a bronze medal.

This was the last competitive fight before the whole country went into lockdown. We were so glad we got the chance to compete for the first time at this event.

The Axis Centre in Newmachar was the venue for our first in house comp of 2020. Thirty five competitors attended the event all fighting at a very high standard, allowing the coaches to assess abilities and levels for external competitions this year.

A huge thanks goes to everyone involved in pulling these days together, including refs, time judges and first aiders. Your help is always appreciated.

A team of seven travelled to Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility near Glasgow to attend the WKA Scottish Open.

Our team scooped one gold medal (Kyle Mcloughlin – 11), five silvers (Lee Moor – 18, Adam Milne, Lewis Cameron – 17, Ben Marr – 15, Arden Grant – 10) and one bronze (Oli Macpherson – 13) in one the biggest mat events in Scotland.

Really proud of our young AKKG fighter Declan Coutts (19yrs) stepping into the ring to compete in his first MMA comp , middleweight section in the SMMART comp in Aberdeen …. 3 fights and 3 victories for Dec !!! Well done !
